Ron Martin

Martin is entering his second year as assistant coach for WVU Tech Volleyball after working 20 years as the assistant coach at Woodrow Wilson High School (Beckley, West Virginia). He has a vast history of experience, totaling 25 years of coaching, including travel volleyball and various levels of volleyball in the WVSSAC. Martin also played beach volleyball while being stationed in the US Coast Guard. Not only has he coached, but he has also been a referee for 16 years, also in the WVSSAC.

A West Virginia native from Mabscott, Martin earned a degree in environment safety and pollution control while being stationed in the US Coast Guard. He retired from the US  Coast Guard and started working for the Raleigh County Board of Education in 1995. Prior Military Experience: US Army and US Navy. He has also served as a council member in Mabscott for the last eight years.
