As a result of inclement weather in the surrounding
area, West Virginia University Institute of Technology will be on a two-hour delay for
February 21, 2025.

Tech will be closed from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 21.
Employees designated as essential should report to campus for their normal
shifts. Employees designated as non-essential will begin work at 10:00 a.m.
Friday, February 21.
Employees who work remotely or on a hybrid schedule should not begin work until
10:00 a.m. Friday, February 21.
The
University is scheduled to resume normal operations at 10:00 a.m. Friday,
February 21; however, officials will continue to closely monitor reports from
the National Weather Service, as well as state, local and campus conditions.
Beckley W.Va. – For the first time, a graduate from the WVU School of
Nursing Beckley Campus will be awarded the Nursing Alumni of the Year and honored
at WVU Tech’s 2024 homecoming celebration. Stephanie McDougal is the inaugural
winner.
UPDATE: We are extremely proud to report Antonio Fernández Castaño completed
his internship at Tesla and was hired as an associate manufacturing equipment engineer.
Fernández Castaño also earned his Masters of Science in Engineering.
A West Virginia University graduate and accomplished university administrator, including as a president and provost, will return home to the Mountain State as the next campus president at West Virginia University Institute of Technology.
West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech) men’s and women’s basketball teams will be playing a doubleheader at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center on Saturday, January 7, 2023. The women’s game will tip off at 1 p.m., with the
